Technical and Support Services

The Technical and Support Services section of Building Inspection is responsible for the enforcement of building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and development codes and certificate of occupancy requirements, through plan review of all residential and commercial construction projects. This program coordinates code changes, training and provides staff support plan review, processes permits, reviews applications for trade registrations, collects fees and maintains all files and construction permit related activity. This program also processes plat applications, provides for the early release of permits and publishes the Dallas Development Guide, which is available online.
